Can some one help me out here? Hooked up the red cable to match up to the 3V3 pad on the router for power and twisted the blue and white just to test out the prolific drivers from the wiki. You can google how to use a multimeter. If you have 4 lines to test, have to guess at RX and unused line.

Really need help for my specific problem please. Then compare the wire colour to the picture linked to in the wiki. That leaves arkmicr other line as RX.
The driver installation program finishes "correctly" however under Device Manager I can never see the Cypress device when zedboard is poweredup. I also tried on Windows 7. Well i have a hard time cracking open the end piece, is it possible to diagnose the wires with a multi-meter and how so?
I only see the same COM1 port that has been there before.
I spent almost 2 whole days trying to read information to get this working and its not working. If I try to update the drivers for such COM1 port and select Win7 drivers from Armicro installed folders then it does change the type of the port to USB serial port but still does not work. Black is the only wire to give a reading, and when i touch the red usv-uart, and hold it to the positive lead my Win 7 PC actually recognized the cable.
They are very clsoe together arkmicrk the Zedboard, jeje. To test the cable, you have to plug it into the USB port of the computer.
